More recently, his mission has become to build extraordinary guitars that carry the weight of time, the soul of craftsmanship, and the spirit of music history. 7Guitars is a boutique electric guitar company crafting instruments from salvaged and historic wood. Every guitar is one of a kind, built by hand, and steeped in story -- from redwoods scorched by fire to floorboards that once echoed with dancing boots on Route 66. Our guitars are playable heirlooms, built for stage, studio, and legacy. Instruments that are passed down from generation to generation and cherished by their owners. Van's work speaks to collectors, players, and dreamers who seek something truly original and enduring.
My Story
I'm a devoted husband of 25 years and a proud father of four amazing sons. With 40 years of experience playing guitar and singing, I now lead worship at my church, driven by a desire to bring glory to God. My journey in woodworking, coupled with a profound passion for music, allows me to create guitars that blend art, heritage, and precision. Building these beautifully unique instruments is a powerful reminder of the Master Craftsman who transformed my life from an ash heap, molding and shaping me into an instrument of worship, much like the musical instruments King David made for praising the Lord in 2 Chronicles 7:6.
